Opening Reception Fall/Winter Exhibitions 2021

Please join us on Friday, 1 October 2021, from 6 to 8 pm, for the opening reception of our upcoming exhibitions:

In our second-floor galleries, two solo exhibitions: Iris Kensmil: Some of My Souls and Jasmine Thomas-Girvan: Bathed in Sacred Fire. Plus, Joy Mariama Smith: Black Joy/White Fragility, one of three presentations of the HAP collaboration. On the first floor, Rotterdam Cultural Histories #20: The Museum of Education and Art, and On "Constant: New Babylon" in the MELLY bookshop on the ground floor.

The participating artists and our team look forward to welcoming you to Kunstinstituut Melly.

On a final note: as per government regulations, please come prepared to show proof of vaccination or of a recent negative-test result; read more about the new Coronavirus measures in The Netherlands. This is only needed for the bar downstairs in MELLY, not for the exhibitions.
