Ines Borovac - Collo

Ines Borovac is a performance artist based in Rotterdam. As a feminist, in her practice, Borovac infiltrates various systems regulated by traditional values to explore future gestures and give immediacy to the oppressed. Inspired by her personal experience and experiences of other marginalised Croatian and Balkan bodies, she deals with the critical deconstruction of Croatian and Balkan folk traditions. In her work she is twisting the power dynamics of the patriarchal influence with an aim of creating a sense of belonging for all bodies. Through her work, possible futures, systems and rituals come alive, materialising through videos, performances and installations
