Ildo Nandja Trio

Ildo Nandja is a versatile and progressive bassist and multi-instrumentalist based in Rotterdam - Netherlands. As an activist and peace worker involved in the community building process in Rotterdam, Ildo’s music is an instrument and a medium which expresses awareness about the situation of the world, addressing issues such as unity, justice, equality, calamities, pandemics , gender and social cohesion amongst many more aspects that can contribute to the betterment of world. He uses his African rhythmical abilities and expertise to express advanced harmonic concepts to his compositions. His sound blends PanAfrican rhythms and melodies with Jazz, European and contemporary world music influences. These musical diversities reflect his experiences and the result is a combination of an experimental eclectic sound. Apart from leading his own Jazz Trio, Ildo is a steady fixture within the Netherland’s Jazz and world music scene.
