Liza Wolters
Liza Wolters is a visual artist. With her practice, she attaches great value to temporality and coincidence, how memories work and explores ideas about in-between space. She does this by consciously taking on the role of the artist-errant, in which she translates events and memories through photography, video, (found) objects and language. Within exhibitions, publications, collaborations and installations, materials from her growing archive are brought together with new observations captured on the spot. Liza Wolters' work is thus a continuous ordering, analyzing and adding to the archive, a fluid place of preservation.
On a regular basis, Liza is involved with various cultural institutions and organizations to think along about values and changes of importance and to collaborate. She currently holds the position as Interim PR & Communications Manager at Kunstinstituut Melly.
In 2014 she obtained her Bachelor Fine Arts from AKV|St. Joost in Breda and since then she has been showing her work in various National and International solo and group exhibitions. Among other things, she is co-founder of artist initiative Club Solo and was part of the collective Networked Collective / It is part of an ensemble. In the spring of 2024, she will pursue a residency at NARS Foundation in Brooklyn, New York.
