Hana Miletić
Hana Miletić is an interdisciplinary artist that lives in Brussels and works between Brussels and Zagreb. In her practice, which often takes form in felted or woven works, she reflects on issues of representation and reproduction, by making linkages between photography and weaving. Miletić uses the weaving or felting processes – which require considerable time and dedication – as a way to counteract certain economic and social conditions at work, such as acceleration, standardization and transparency. She has a background in photography, weaving, archaeology, art history and gender studies. She has exhibited at Dhaka Art Summit, Dhaka; Manifesta 14, Prishtina; Sharjah Biennial 13, Sharjah; Kunsthall Bergen, Bergen and WIELS, Brussels among others. In 2021 she won the Baloise Art Prize.
