Peter de Graeve
Peter de Graeve (b. 1959, Aalst) studied philosophy in Gent, Paris (Sorbonne), and Turin. In 1995 he obtained his PhD with a thesis on Martin Heidegger: “Vérités crues – les originaux du vrai.” His advisor was the acclaimed French Nietzsche expert, Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe. De Graeve taught philosophy and aesthetics at the University of Antwerp (2005–2009) and was Dean at the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts at the University of Louvain for the past few years. His books include Gilles Deleuze en het materialism (2012) and Friedrich Nietzche: Chaos en verwording (2003) for which he gained wide recognition for his work on Nietzche.
