Sonu Shamdasani
Sonu Shamdasani (born in 1962) is a London-based author, editor, and professor at the UCL Centre for the History of Medicine, University College London. He works on the history of psychiatry, psychology and the human sciences, in the second half of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century. In addition, Shamdasani oversees a project to edit Jung’s unpublished manuscripts (www.philemonfoundation.org). From 1993 to 2011, Shamdasani was at the Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine, which became the Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine. There where he was Acting Director from 2009-10. After the closure of the Centre, Shamdasani moved to the Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology, where he established the Centre for the History of Psychological Disciplines.
