Fadi El Abdallah
Dr. Fadi El Abdallah is currently the Spokesperson and Head of the Public Affairs Unit at the International Criminal Court (ICC) based in The Hague. He obtained his PhD from the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas. Prior to obtaining his position at the ICC, Dr. Abdallah taught at both the Law and International Business Institute (IDAI) in Cairo, Egypt, as well as Paris. Since joining the ICC in 2008, Dr. Abdallah has committed himself to increasing awareness of the ICCs mandate and its importance to the international community. He is an honorary editor in Ma3azef.com, an online publication specializing in Arabic and international music. He is a published poet and writer with a PhD in law studies. He is also an art critic and a commentator on law. As a member of the collective Group Tuesday, he has collaborated with Bilal Khbeiz and Walid Sadek on File: Public Time (Beirut 2005) and Tragedy in a Moment of Vision (Sharjah, 2007). He presented ‘signatures’ in Home Works 5, Beirut (2010) and ‘Revolution vs. Revolution’ at Beirut Art Centre (2012).
