Darly Benneker
Darly Benneker (born 1992 Colombia), is a Dutch-Colombian historian and art educator who works from Rotterdam. At the moment she is a master student Arts & Education at the Piet Zwart Institute. The workshop Clothed Bodies is part of her graduation project. Within her work she focuses on the creation of performative contexts to be able to tell other life stories than those accepted by society. In this way she hopes to be able to reconstruct a connecting history by illuminating the dialogue between a written and unwritten history. To give this shape, she works with textiles and podcasts.
In addition to her own work she has been active for several years, actively involved in various art institutions and projects in Rotterdam, such as MAMA, Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, Do You Get Me, Kunstblock, TENT and 100% Contemporary. Within MAMA she was involved with MAMA.JPEG, Piet Pourri, KCR Living Labs. Currently she coordinates On The Point (MAMA's Rookie MA trajectory), a collaborative project between various European institutions subsidized by Creative Europe.
