Amir Balaban
Amir Balaban lives in Jerusalem and New York. Graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art, Photography Department, Jerusalem. Amir Balaban is the director of the Jerusalem Bird Observatory – Israel’s first official urban wildlife site – which he established in 1994 with Gidon Perlman in response to future development plans on one of Jerusalem’s most important bird-watching sites. Balaban works as a practicing wildlife artist and video photographer, specializing in fieldwork.
