Baktrüppen
Baktrüppen is a theatre performance group based in Norway, originally formed in 1986 by Tone Aventroup (who left the troupe in 1995) and Øyvind Berg. Its current members are Berg, Jørgen Knudsen, Worm Winther, Ingvild Holm, Bo Krister Wallström, and Per Henrik Svalastog. Former members are Trine Falch, Erik Balke, Gurå Mathiesen, Tone Avenstroup, Hans Petter Dahl. A host of participants have worked with Baktrüppen at different points in its 25-year career. Widely known in the Scandinavian context, Baktrüppen has participated in a number of international performance events in Europe and internationally. Their first Dutch collaboration was in both 1990 and 1991 for the famous Mickery- program by founder and visual artist Ritsaert ten Cate. Its most recent performances include First Waffle, Then Morality for Witte de With’s Let Us Compare Mythologies (2010), Baktrüppen Light Metal Band (2008) 18th. & 19th. of November at Baltic Circle Festival, Koko Teatteri, Helsinki, Finland. Do & Undo (2002) & Deli Commedia (2004) 13th. of November, as part of the Surviving in the Creative Industries conference at Volksbühne im Prate in Berlin. Baktrüppen Light Metal Band (2008) 11th. of November at NU Performance Festival III at Kanuti Gildi Saal, Tallinn, Estonia and 4th. & 5th. of October at Nordwind Festival, Hebbel am Ufer – HAU 2, Berlin. Recently they published an extensive catalogue of their work Performance Art by Baktruppen, 1986-2008, Part One.
