Annaïk Lou Pitteloud
Annaïk Lou Pitteloud (b. Lausanne, 1980) articulates critical reflections on cultural and social problematics through a variety of media. Her work uses minimal forms to suggest a narrative and refers to the art historical context as a flexible grid in which these reflections can be invested. Consequently, this nonlinear practice allows the work to leave an empty center that can be freely filled in by the viewer. Recent exhibitions include Bernhard Bischoff & Partner, Bern, CH, ‘Procedure’ (2009); Espace des télégraphes, Lausanne, CH, ‘Setting Up The Process’ (2009). Upcoming exhibitions in 2012 include The 9th Shanghai Biennale – City Pavilions (group show) and Barbara Seiler Gallery, Zürich, CH, ‘1 + 7 = 1’ (solo show).
