Julien Prévieux
Julien Prévieux (b. 1974, France) is an artist who lives and works in Paris. Since he graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Grenoble (2000), Prévieux’s artistic practice has involved him infiltrating different systems of society to prove their absurd and deceptive nature, and used the techniques of appropriation and parody to unveil uneasy truths. His solo exhibitions include Dimensions in Modern Management, Jousse Entreprise, Paris (2011); Colorless Green Ideas Sleep Furiously, Galerie West, The Hague (2010) ; and Think Park, Contemporary Art Center, La synagogue de Delme (2008). Some selected group shows that he has participated are Side Effects, EKKM – Contemporary Art Museum Estonia, Tallinn (2013); Lost in L.A., LAMAG, Los Angeles (2012) and Monodrome, 3rd biennale of Athens (2011).
