Fabian Marti
Fabian Marti (b. 1979, Switzerland) is a Zürich-based artist. He studied Photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Zurich (2006) and at the Mountain School of Arts, Los Angeles (2008). His versatile artistic practice includes media such as photography, film, photograms, ceramics, and installations. His artistic research focuses on esoteric symbolism, cultural anthropology, music and scientific debates. His recent solo shows include MARTI COLLECTION, Centre Pasquart, Biel (2013); The Zen of Running, Paradise Garage, Venice, California (2012); And Then We Mad & VRNTYNHZLN CLGKNNMNLYN, Kunstverein Braunschweig (2011); Time for the monkeys to move into hyperspace, Kunstmuseum Winterthur (2011); and The Dor, Swiss Institute, New York (2010). His work has been represented in group exhibitions, such as Salon der Angst, Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna (2013); Some End of Things, Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Basel (2013); Dark Ages to Enlightenment, Tower of London (2013); Cosmic Laughter.
