Patricia Reed
Patricia Reed (b. 1977, Canada) lives and works in Berlin. The focus of her artistic and textual practice is the contingency of normality. The play with the plasticity of the normal, both conceptually and materially, constitutes the foundation of her practice.
Reed obtained her BFA from Concordia University, Montreal, and an MA in communications from the European Graduate School, Switzerland. Recently her work has been exhibited at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin (2012); Kunsthaus Langenthal, Switzerland (2012); Program, Berlin (2011); Württembergische Kunstverein, Stuttgart (2010), and elsewhere. Her selected recent publications include, among others: Economies of Common Infinitude, Vancouver, Fillip Publishing (2012); Six Problematics on Artists and Their Work, Warsaw, Bęc Zmiana (2011); Eccentric Space, Utrecht, Expodium, (2011); Architectural Space as Agent, Vancouver, Fillip (2011); Testify: The Consequences of Architecture, Rotterdam, NAi Publishers (2011), and other.
