Christian Vinck
Christian Vinck was born in 1978 in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and currently lives and works in Madrid, Spain. What is important to him, as a painter, is not his technique, but his subjects. His palette is delicate and expressive. Painting offers a means to weave personal and daily narratives through the history of Latin America. He renders epic themes on intimate scales. Vinck is characterized by being a collector of images and creator of works that depict and reinterpret documents and themes inspired by an endless variety of visual stimuli. Participant of the 30th Bienal de São Paulo, his work is also part of collections such as the Colección Mercantil Cisneros, Caracas, Venezuela and The Blanton Museum of Art, Austin, Texas, United States. Recent exhibitions include Fitzrovia Gallery, London (2019), Hudson Gallery, New York (2018), Arte Contemporáneo Venezolano (2018), Carmen Araujo & Casa vieja de Hacienda La Trinidad, Caracas (2017), Carmen Araujo Arte, Caracas (2016), Galería Leme, São Paulo (2015).
