Melike Kara

Melike Kara lives and works in Cologne. She works across various mediums, including painting, sculpture, and photography. Her artistic practice revolves around themes of displacement, marginalization, and exclusion, with a particular emphasis on amplifying the voices of those often overlooked or unheard. She studied at Dusseldorf Art Academy, and has had solo exhibitions recently at Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen, St. Gallen; the Yuz Museum, Shanghai; and the Kölnischer Kunstverein. Her work is in such collections as Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; K11, Hong Kong; and Pérez Art Museum, Miami.
