Omar Medina

Omar Medina is a Mexican composer/producer and guitarist based in Amsterdam. He creates experimental electronic music and sound art aimed to trigger psychoacoustic experiences through scenic/sonic stories: sound-shaped-dramaturgy. Having a background in Mexican folk music, free-improv, and contemporary pop music, as well as composing and performing for theatre, and cabaret plays, Omar creates pieces in which sounds are not attached to a particular tradition but appeal to our own imaginary. He obtained a BA in music at the ESM in Mexico City and a MA in Live Electronics at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
