Alexander Ramselaar

Alexander Ramselaar, a business economist, worked for 18 years in the financial and real estate sector. Parallel to his working life, a passion for contemporary art arose in the late 1990s, resulting in a collection and participation in initiatives like the C.o.C.A. Foundation. In 2012, it was time to bring his passion for culture and core competencies to work together in Backing Grounds. A practice that focuses on connecting and bridging the domains of culture, real estate, and financing. Central are issues about financing and real estate that artists, creatives, and cultural organizations encounter.
