Liisa-Rávná Finbog
Dr. Liisa-Rávná Finbog is a Sámi Indigenous scholar, curator, and duojár from Oslo, Vaapste, and Skánit on the Norwegian side of the border. As a long-time practitioner of duodji [Sámi practices of aesthetics and storytelling], her work combines her practice as a duojár with an Indigenous research focus. Extending from her research she has curated multiple seminars, including ‘Dåajmijes Vuekie – the material expressions of Sámi aesthetics’ and ‘Båassjoeraejken Tjïrr – Workshops and conversations on Indigenous languages, aesthetic practices and landscapes’ – both in 2019. In 2022 she was also one of three curators for the Sámi Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
