Schools & Tours
For school groups, we offer an extensive program of tours, workshops, and long-term partnership programs which anchor contemporary art and culture in the school curriculum.
Interactive guided tours
Contemporary art crosses disciplinary boundaries, uses a great diversity of media and materials, and is open to various interpretations. We aim to acquaint young people with contemporary art in a way that is both stimulating and accessible. During a visit, the students’ questions or interests, surprise, or indignation are taken as points of departure. They will gain invaluable tools for engaging critically with the culture at large. We encourage school groups visiting us for the first time to book an interactive guided tour with one of our professional guide

100 % Contemporary
100 % Contemporary is a complete (day) package about contemporary art and visual culture in Rotterdam organized in collaboration with our colleagues of TENT and Showroom MAMA. Discover the art quarter and visit three unique art institutions. During a program led by professional Art Mediators, students visit one or more of our current exhibitions. The 100 % Contemporary program doesn’t merely involve looking at art and talking about it, but also includes a special workshop on site.
The whole 100% Contemporary program is since June 2019 also available in English.

For teachers
While preparing a visit, teachers are welcome to make an appointment with the curator of education programs for an (informal) talk and a short tour of the current exhibition. In collaboration with teachers and schools, we can also realize tailor-made projects.
