Struggling Art Space

Struggling Art Space is a collective of two artists Jessie Tam and Zheng Tianyi, who are based in the Netherlands and Hong Kong. Growing from Jessie Tam’s graduation project “Struggling Artists” in 2021, together they have taken a closer look at the little stones that we stumble upon on the way of art-making. “Instead of focusing on success and perfection, we search for failures and struggles, and ways to deal with the trouble.” Through collaboration with peer artists, Jessie Tam and Zheng Tianyi hope that they can search for possibilities to deal with the “competitive” art world and art system, and embrace fragility as human nature.
